Your Medical Records and Health Data is Encrypted at Rest and in Transit

One Med Chart is the only personal health information exchange repository powered by Blockchain Health Information Exchange (BCHIE) architecture. One Med Chart uses the (BCHIE) architecture for encryption and multi-factor authentication which by design secures access patient health information. This keeps One Med Chart’s health information accessible to the user and only those authorized by the user.

All information is encrypted at rest and in transit, i.e., only a user can view and chooses who can view his or her information. Developed in 2017, the BCHIE leverages SHA 256 and SHA 512, where the margin of error virtually disappears. Using the BCHIE, the margin of error is 1 out of 2^256. This is the same standard that secures top-secret clearance for digital information.

The BCHIE uses Smart Contracts and the Cloud, among others, to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability for Health Information. Using Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs), we are able to continuously secure such information. Our technology uses the latest standards in order to maximize interoperability, and, more importantly, it can save lives.
The blockchain health information exchange (BCHIE) architecture is a HIPAA compliant, advanced, market-driven technology designed and developed to ensure health information exchange (HIE) security, validity, nonrepudiation and patient matching by using Smart Contracts that are executed without human interaction.

Only authorized/certified EMS personnel have access to the One Med Chart EMS app which is required to view a patient’s private Snapshot. Please note that a Snapshot does not give anyone access to a patient’s medical records. A good example of using the Snapshot would be when a person is found unconscious and needing medical assistance.

Easily and securely receiving and sharing medical records is a continuous task that One Med Chart aims to always provide. The solution is to not only be able to share one’s records but to be able to share loved one’s records in case of an emergency as well. Of course, a One Med Chart user must share his or her records first as each user controls his or her records. Now, medical records are usually needed or created during medical appointments (physical, surgery, etc.). Naturally, One Med Chart understands (as do most people) that last minute appointments are difficult to find. Our team of experts have found that it is also difficult for medical facilities to fill last minute cancellations and no-shows. Another factor for such difficulty is having medical records available. With One Med Chart’s goal of minimizing unnecessary health risks based on lack of medical information, having an application to request (and schedule on the practice’s side) and keep track of appointments with one’s medical records attached mitigates such risk. Convenience is a bonus. One Med Chart is essential to prevent unnecessary deaths from lack of information, but it is more than that for a person’s health.

My Health – Fitness Regimens and Workouts

One Med Chart ‘s My Health allows a person to create regimens and workouts inside those regimens, and track daily calories lost, daily steps taken, and medications taken. Inside My Health, users also have Fitness Cards (Heal, Stamina, and Olympian).

  • The first Fitness Card, Heal allows a patient to create a regimen based on a doctor’s plan. After the user creates his or her regimen(s), the doctor must approve the regimen(s). Progress and completion of the doctor’s plan are tracked. The purpose of Heal is implied in its name.
  • The second Fitness Card, Stamina is for people who work out, want to keep track of their workouts, and/or share their workouts with others. Working out consistently every three months earns a user a higher rank of Fanatic. Getting better is more important than getting sick, and consistently exercising properly improves the human body. Yes, unquestionably, saving lives is One Med Chart’s priority, and exercising also helps with achieving One Med Chart’s priority.
  • The third Fitness Card, Olympians for record breakers and the physically elite. This is the only portion of One Med Chart that is shared publicly. Olympians are people/athletes who decide to compete for the top spots in specific regimens or workouts. These three Fitness Card versions allow people to exercise at their own pace. Lastly, in My Health, users are able to take their measurements and pictures, which can be linked with specific stats for regimens and workouts.

My Fit Center – Connects Smart Devices and Fitness Platforms

One Med Chart’s Fit Center connects smart devices and fitness platforms, such as Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit, iHealth, etc. Moreover, One Med Chart will continue to connect to more devices and platforms. My Health takes advantage of the Fit Center to link a smart device’s gathered data and attach it to a workout.

For example, a person can go on a three-mile run, register that workout, and link his or her calories burned and heart rate from an Apple Watch. One Med Chart believes exercising regularly will keep people healthier much longer than not exercising. For that reason, One Med Chart promotes exercising. More importantly, One Med Chart is using technology to ensure secure universal access to medical records while promoting a healthy lifestyle. Simply put, a few minutes of uploading medical records could save one’s life in the long run while working out could improve one’s life expectancy.

Research and Studies

One Med Chart Research and Studies leverages blockchain technology architecture to support precision health targeting specific diseases like COVID-19. People can elect to sign up through One Med Chart’s research and studies. This innovative method allows people to be part of helping find cures while never compromising the safety and security of their health information (ePHI).

Using One Med Chart, people can opt-in anonymously to be part of research and studies. The BCHIE’s algorithms connect participants to the researchers conducting the study. It does this through wearable devices, medical devices, and sharing health information, successfully tracking and reporting specific changes and data analytics to the researchers.

One Med Chart’s Blockchain Health Information Exchange (BCHIE) Architecture is HIPAA compliant and interoperable with all health information exchanges and electronic medical record systems.

One Med Chart uses encryption, hashing, database technologies, Ionic, Angular, JSON, and many others to create a framework that lets people choose what health information to share. Our goal is to save lives. We give our users control. Because we employ revolutionary technologies, people can pick what research or studies they would like to be part of. One Med Chart’s algorithms safeguard ePHI.
